This was our first overnight trip with our daughter, so we chose Radium Kagaya International Hotel in Beitou. It was not cheap, so we had to lean on the company travel subsidy!
We set out in the afternoon by MRT and transferred at Beitou Station to Xinbeitou. The weather was cold. Thankfully, the hotel was not too far from the station, though dragging our luggage there still took some effort.

The hotel assigned a host to introduce the property and the room facilities to us. The room was smaller than I had expected, and it was not as nice as the Asaya Hotel in Kinugawa where we had stayed before. In the middle of the living area was a sunken seating space, and I was worried our daughter might fall into it. In theory, the table could probably be taken apart and covered with a tabletop panel, but I did not manage to do it.

We helped our daughter into a yukata, and with so little hair she looked a little like a novice monk.

Dinner was a set meal. We had originally hoped to let our daughter sit and eat rice crackers, but she seemed very sleepy, so I went back to the room and carried her in a baby carrier. She slept through the whole dinner, which actually allowed us to enjoy the meal in peace.

The in-room hot spring was quite nice. It even had a window to the outside, so it was easy to stay in for a long time.
That night, our daughter kept waking up, so the adults did not get much rest either and had to get up from time to time to soothe her.

Our room looked directly onto Beitou Hot Spring Park, and in the morning we could sit by the window and enjoy the view.

We got up at eight for breakfast. Our daughter still refused to sit in the high chair, so I held her first and let her eat rice crackers and fruit, then switched once the other adult had finished eating.
Breakfast was buffet style. It was decent enough and filling, though there was not much meat.
After breakfast, we went back to the room and took turns soaking in the hot spring one more time. Our daughter woke up every time she was put down, so I had to take her back to the window again to look at the view.
Before checking out, we put on our yukata and took photos with the Year of the Tiger display.

Overall, it was a decent stay and the transportation was convenient, but the price was still beyond what I would normally want to pay.
